Key Responsibilities - Support pupils' learning across the curriculum through classroom, group and one-to-one work. - Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities. - Help pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours. - Support the preparation of classroom resources and learning environments. - Work with teachers to monitor pupil progress and celebrate achievement. - Provide additional support for pupils with varying educational and emotional needs. - Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive school environment. - Support pupils during break times, educational visits and wider school activities. - Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external professionals where appropriate. - Contribute to the wider life of the academy and uphold Astrea Academy Trust values. What We're Looking For - GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent). - Experience of working with children in an educational or childcare setting. - A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their potential. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - The ability to build positive and supportive relationships with pupils. - Excellent teamwork and organisational skills. - Patience, empathy and a flexible approach to meeting pupils' needs. - Confidence in supporting learning and promoting positive behaviour. - A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. - A desire to continually develop professionally and contribute positively to school life.
