Salary: £17,702 - £17,982 (FTE: £26,016 - £26,427) Hours of Work: 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:45 - 15:15), including an unpaid break Contract: Fixed-Term initially until 31 August 2027 Grade: 4 Role: Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant Are you passionate about supporting children to succeed? The role may include working 1-1 supporting special needs in school as well as general classroom Teaching Assistant duties About Botley School Botley School is a welcoming primary school just outside Oxford, serving a diverse community. The Role Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will support pupils across the school. The role may include one-to-one support for children with additional needs alongside general classroom Teaching Assistant duties, helping pupils to develop confidence, independence and achieve their best. Key Responsibilities - Support pupils individually and in groups. - Encourage positive behaviour and independence. - Assist with classroom activities and lesson preparation. - Support literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum learning. - Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues. - Participate in educational visits and school activities. - Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment. - Follow safeguarding procedures and policies at all times. Requirements - GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent). - Enjoy working with children and building positive relationships. - Excellent communication and listening skills.
