Nursery Teaching Assistant

Mayplace Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our team from the start of the new term. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early years education and wants to make a real difference to the youngest children in our school community. Mayplace Primary School is part of The Primary First Trust, a multi-academy trust serving schools across Bexley, Gravesham, and Medway. About the role You will work alongside the Nursery teacher to support children's learning, development, and wellbeing in a warm, stimulating Early Years environment. Day to day this includes: - Supporting the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum - Helping to plan and deliver engaging play-based activities - Supervising and supporting children during learning, play, and routines (including care needs such as toileting and feeding, where required) - Observing and recording children's progress and development - Building positive relationships with children, parents, and carers - Maintaining a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment What we're looking for - A relevant childcare or education qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 in Early Years or equivalent) - Experience working with children in the Early Years age range - A genuine passion for early childhood development - Patience, warmth, and excellent communication skills - A team player who is reliable, flexible, and proactive - A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
