Learning Support Teaching Assistant

TEACHING ASSISTANT / LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT REQUIRED on a FIXED TERM CONTRACT from ASAP to July 2027 31.25 HOURS PER WEEK IN TERM TIME ONLY (39 weeks per year) 8.35am - 3:20pm Salary Range ME4 point 5 (£29,436 Full Time Equivalent) Come and join us at Gorringe Park! We are looking for someone who can: - Support children with their learning, both in the classroom and in small groups - Work with children with additional needs, who find it challenging to access the curriculum The successful candidate will be working to support children, across a year group, in their classrooms, and also delivering interventions to small groups of children. They will also be working closely with individual children to support their educational needs and achieve the outcomes set out in their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). You must be patient and caring, and be a good team player. Previous experience of working with children with additional educational needs is desirable, but training and support will be available - applicants will need to use their initiative and adapt quickly and intuitively to the needs of the children as well as a have a willingness to learn and receive direction from others. This post may be of particular interest to graduates considering a career in teaching and looking to gain experience.
