Woodcot Primary School Lead Assistant Teacher - SEMH Resource Provision 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only) Grade D1 - D5 £21,618.95 - £23,785.66 (actual) Start date: January 2027 Woodcot Primary School is seeking a Lead Assistant Teacher who is passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Our new Resource Provision - The Beacon - will open to pupils in January 2027, so this is an exciting time to join the school and help shape the provision on offer to pupils at Woodcot. The SENCo will retain overall responsibility for curriculum design, and you will work closely with them to plan the structure of the day. During the day, you will work with pupils individually and in small groups, supporting them to access the curriculum either within the Beacon or alongside their peers in the classroom. About the role - Work closely with the SENCo to help design the structure of the day and the curriculum offer within the Beacon. - Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination of Beacon staff, ensuring a consistent, calm and structured approach. - Take a lead role in monitoring pupil progress and outcomes, and in reviewing individual pupil plans. - Liaise with class teachers, parents/carers and external agencies as required. - Support the SENCo in embedding and continually improving practice within the provision as it becomes established.
