We are seeking an experienced, organised, and proactive Lead Administrator to join our dedicated school team. This is a key role within the school, providing high-quality administrative support and leading the day-to-day operation of the school office.
The successful candidate will oversee administrative systems and procedures, support school leadership, and ensure the efficient management of pupil, staff, and operational records. As the first point of contact for many visitors, parents, and external agencies, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the busy school and nursery office.
- Act as the welcoming, professional first point of contact for parents, visitors, and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate pupil data, attendance records, and nursery admissions via school management systems.
- Support the Senior Leadership Team with financial tracking, procurement, and report preparation.
- Oversee school communication channels, including emails, newsletters, and phone queries.
- Ensure strict adherence to GDPR compliance, confidentiality, and safeguarding regulations
We are looking for someone who:
- Proven administrative experience, ideally within an education or nursery setting
- Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and database management
- Exceptional communication skills, showing empathy and professionalism when dealing with families
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize demanding workloads
- A proactive, team-focused mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure
In addition to the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative working environment,
- A vibrant and rapidly improving school with rewards and opportunities for motivated and committed individuals
- Friendly, motivated and aspirational pupils
- A dedicated and collaborative staff team
- High-quality CPD and professional development opportunities through providers such as The National College and The Key.
- Access to the Employee Assistance Programme (Smart Clinic)
- Access to our staff benefits, exclusive rewards and discounts programme Perks at Work
- Opportunities for career progression within the Trust
- A positive working environment with a strong focus on staff wellbeing
- Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)
- Cycle to work, home and technology sacrifice schemes
NB: Suitable candidates may be interviewed before the closing date and the school reserves the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made. Applicants are therefore encouraged to apply early.
