About the role
We are
seeking an experienced Class Teacher with a strong background in special school
primary or early years education to join our team.
Essential
requirements:
- Qualified
Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong
experience teaching in a special school primary or early years setting
- Experience
working with pupils with Down's syndrome
- Confident
and experienced in delivering personal care
- Proficient
in using Makaton to support communication
- Ability
to design and deliver a topic-based, primary-style curriculum
- Understanding
of the needs of pupils with complex special educational needs
- Experience
working with pupils with additional needs including autism
- Strong
behaviour management skills
- Grade A-C or Level 2 qualifications in
English and Mathematics
