About the role
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed and enthusiastic teacher to join us as
Achievement Leader for the Year 9, 10 and 11 phase at King Edward VI School.
The successful candidate will lead a team of experienced tutors and will take responsibility for the
academic progress, behaviour and welfare of students in the year group as they progress through
the school, overseeing the transition from Year 8 and taking a cohort from Year 9 through to Year
11. The role provides significant opportunities to develop and share excellent practice in
supporting staff and students and is well suited to those with aspirations towards senior
leadership.
We are looking for an inspirational teacher and leader with a pro-active approach and excellent
communication skills. As Achievement Leader, you will have a strategic role working alongside
middle and senior leaders to maximise student achievement. The school welcomes applications
from candidates with proven departmental or pastoral leadership skills in their current role.
